| Bio: | "The test of tolerance comes when we are in the majority. The test of courage comes when we are in the minority." (Unknown) I'm a 20 year old univeristy student, majoring in Sociology. I was kicked out of Livejournal for listing "pedophilia" as an interest. Apparently, this encouraged criminal activities. To be clear, I would NEVER encourage criminal activity. As a sociology student, of course I'm interested in pedophilia. I'm interested in human sexuality in general. Yes, I'm especially interested in pedophilia because I have met a few paedosexuals over the course of my life, and they have changed the way I think about sex, sexuality, and the world in general. I would consider myself a supporter of the Childlove movement, which is primarily about people feeling safe and supported in their sexual orientation. Paedosexuals are people who are primarily attracted to children. They may be occasionally attracted to adults, and sexual relationships with adults are completely possible for them. I feel that any person should not be persecuted for their thoughts and feelings. I believe this is happening today to paedosexuals, and I find it very disturbing. Actions are one thing, but thoughts are another entirely. I think it's wrong to criminalize thought and expression of thought. Aside from that issue, there are lots of other things I'm interested in and passionate about. I care very much about equality for homosexuals, and safety and support for intersexuals. I am interested in politics, philosophy (especially ethics), feminism, youth rights, animal rights (I don't eat anything that comes from a factory farm) and of course, sociology. I'm very much in love with my fiance (we're getting married in summer 2008!), and we are very happy together. I spend most of my time with him, and with my friends. I also value my family very much, and like to spend time with them as well. I am most happy when I'm with my fiance and friends. I like things like hiking, kayaking, going to the beach, working out, cooking, eating, reading, listening to music, etc. I don't watch tv, although I like to download or buy shows and watch them without all the commercials. I really like Star Trek and Heroes. I think of myself as friendly, affectionate, passionate, fiesty, and full of life. | |||||||||
